The higher educational institutions of Vermont welcome international students to their campuses and offer much that appeals to students from all countries. Currently there are 846 international students from 92 different countries studying at the 25 institutions of higher learning in Vermont.

Intensive English programs Academics for International Students
From intensive English instruction to Ph.D. programs, higher education in Vermont includes many opportunities for international students. Programs include:

  • ESL, Intensive English programs, Academic English and Foundation Courses.
  • Two-year associate degrees in several academic areas including accounting, allied health fields, engineering technology and agriculture.
  • Four-year bachelor degrees in all academic subjects from the liberal arts and sciences, to business and engineering and allied health fields.
  • Professional programs from law to medicine.

Vermont Features

Over 42,000 students from across the country and the globe study in Vermont. Educational settings vary from four-year liberal arts to two-year career-oriented, traditional to liberal in philosophy, and student bodies of 80 to 8,000. In Vermont you'll find one of the country's finest and most unique assortments of colleges set in both rural New England towns and cosmopolitan small cities.
