The College
SUNY Brockport is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Universities and the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York. The College's total enrollment for fall 2004 was 8,484, with an undergraduate student population of 6,965.
Location
SUNY Brockport's 435-acre main campus is located in the Village of Brockport 16 miles west of Rochester, New York. The village's population is nearly 10,000, while the population of the Greater Rochester area is over one million. Our students appreciate the friendliness of a small town, combined with easy access to a large city.
Rochester has been judged one of the best cities in the United States for quality of life. It is home to a nationally known philharmonic orchestra, outstanding museums, an ultramodern planetarium, and professional baseball and hockey teams. Rochester is a short flight from New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC, and within easy driving distance of Toronto.

Research Facilities
SUNY Brockport's Drake Memorial Library houses the largest collection among the SUNY four-year colleges, including 473,000 books, 117,300 bound journals, 2 million units of microtext, nearly 10,000 audiovisual materials, 100,000 federal and state documents, and online database subscriptions to approximately 10,000 journal titles. Students can conduct online searches and download publications from remote sites. More than 20 satellite-computing labs augment the campus's two-story computing center. The College's computing hardware includes 750-networked Mac, PC and Sun stations available for student use.
International Student Services
The Office of International Student Services is the primary resource for all enrolled international students at SUNY Brockport. The office provides an orientation for newly admitted students, assists with immigration regulations and travel documents, helps international students adjust to academic and cultural expectations in the United States, and provides cross-cultural programming.
Campus Life and Residential Living
We do offer housing to international students. On-campus housing offers easy access to computing facilities, the library, recreational and dining facilities, and cultural events. All standard services are provided, including Internet and cable TV access, and free laundry facilities. A double-occupancy room is $4,500 per person per academic year. Various meal plans are available and currently range from $2,180 to $3,110 per academic year.
Cost of Study
Full-time tuition for the 2005-2006 academic year is $12,031. College fees total $1,583 per academic year for full-time undergraduate students. Books and supplies is $2,799. International students are required to purchase a mandatory health insurance policy. The annual fee for this insurance is $688. Any exemptions to this requirement are made by the Student Health Center in Hazen Hall. (All items are subject to change.)
Financial Aid
International students do not qualify for US or New York State government aid. SUNY College at Brockport does, however, offer Academic Scholarships to students whom qualify. For specific academic requirements, visit: www.brockport.edu/scholarships/international.html
