Excellent services for international students
The International Student Center is a place for students to get help, and have meetings and celebrations. The staff of the International Student and Scholars Service, located in the ISC, is prepared to help students with questions concerning immigration, travel, work, and cultural adjustment. The English Language Program can accept students at any level of English ability. The ELP has an experienced faculty with advanced degrees and many years of teaching English to international students. Undergraduate Admission
If you have a high enough grade point average (GPA), Kansas State University can admit you with no proof of English proficiency. Once you arrive, you will be required to take the English Proficiency Test (EPT). The results of the EPT will determine if you have to study full-time intensive English or part-time high-level English, or if you are ready to begin full-time university classes. A variety of housing choices
In all of the residence halls (dormitories), most of the rooms are double rooms. There are also limited numbers of single rooms and four-person suites available. Each residence hall has study areas, relaxation areas, and laundry facilities. The room rate plus the 20-meal plan includes three meals served Monday through Saturday, and two meals on Sunday, all in the nearby large dining center. Manhattan, a city of 50,000, is known for the friendliness of its people and its beautiful natural environment. Manhattan has a four-season climate, with wonderful, mild springs, hot summers, cool and colorful autumns, and cold winters with some snow.
